Buckle equal sixth

08/03/2010 7:37 PM

Australian Andrew Buckle has finished the Bogota Open in equal sixth position on eight-under after firing a final-round five-under-par 66.

Buckle finished three shots off American duo Steve Pate and Aaron Watkins (11-under) who played a two-hole playoff to decide the title with Pate ultimately triumphant.

The Aussie headed into the final round in a share of 22nd position but seven birdies and two bogeys on the last 18 ensured he finished level with Americans Kent Jones and John Riegger.

Jamie Lovemark, William McGirt and Tag Ridings all finished equal third on nine-under-par.

Won Joon Lee (one-under) was the next-best Australian in a share of 35th spot.
